Protect San Ramon's Public Safety and Quality of Life

Vote YES on Measure N!

San Ramon, California

is a beautiful, safe, and well-maintained community that we are proud to call home. We believe that every resident deserves to feel safe and protected. Measure N is essential to ensuring our neighborhoods, parks, and public areas remain safe and clean for everyone. By supporting law enforcement, neighborhood patrols, and crime investigation, Measure N will help ensure the public safety of our community.

Measure N is a local 1% sales tax for San Ramon that was placed on the ballot by unanimous vote of the San Ramon City Council. Measure N is projected to generate $15.7 million in additional annual revenue for the City and includes a 10 year expiration and an accountability provision for resident review.

The critical revenue generated by Measure N will go directly to San Ramon's General Fund to partially close the City's projected future budget deficits. Like many public agencies, our city faces financial challenges mostly caused by inflation that could impact the services we rely on. Recent budget deficits included nearly $8 million in fiscal year 2023/2024 and a deficit over $17 million in 2024/2025. To help balance the 2024/2025 budget, the City was forced to cut $8.1 million from departmental budgets, including Police and Public Works, and $2.6 million from unfunded vacant positions.

Your YES vote on Measure N will help safeguard the high quality of life and well-being of our community. Without Measure N funds, the City of San Ramon may need to further cut essential city services that contribute to our high quality of life such as increased crime prevention and the upkeep of our public spaces.

By law, essentials like most food products (groceries), prescription medications, and certain medical devices are not subject to sales tax.
